Brennan
Gilmore (guitar,
mandolin, banjo, vocals)
Brennan is a
multi-instrumentalist who grew up in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
Through the quiet genius of his first teacher, Steve Hoke, he was
introduced to some of the best old-time and bluegrass musicians in the
world, such as Will Lee, Larry Keel, James Leva, and Gary and Rooster
Ruley. In 1999, he formed the group Walker's Run, which went on
to play sold-out shows throughout the region. The group disbanded
when Brennan took an assignment with the U.S. Department of State.
He has since continued to explore musical traditions and perform
with local musicians during diplomatic postings in North and West
Africa.
